Do you know where your food comes from? How it’s processed and made? If not, come and find out so you can be truly informed!! This is your opportunity for a fun evening co-hosted with the San Jose chapter of the Holistic Moms Network!
“Food, Inc. lifts the veil on our nation’s food industry, exposing how our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the
livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising and often shocking truths about what we eat, how it’s produced and who we have become as a nation. ”

As most of you know, I can’t stand the word “diet” for many reasons. We all know the joke that diet is the word “die” with a “t”, but the main reason the word is useless at best, is that it implies a temporary time to deprive yourself of something. I prefer using lifestyle nutrition instead. Start by thinking of food as what FUELS each and every function your body!
Why cleanse? It gives your body a much needed chance to detoxify after the holidays and regain some balance. It also gives your digestive system time to “rest”.
There are many fasts and cleanses but when I came across this one, I thought it to be balanced and easy enough that most of you could follow it and have some great benefits! One side note- I would omit the coffee as a water substitute and stick to water and tea if you want something warm.
